Summer Carnnival and More!

Roar Jammers!  I had forgotten that today was update day!  It kinda popped up on me.  So, without out further ado...The Jamaa Journal!

Yay!  Summer Carnival is back!  Although, it seems a little early for it to come.  Oh wells.
It's pretty much identical to last years with a few nice touches.
There are four games (so far) you can play to earn tickets to buy prizes.  (Much like a real carnival.) :D

Your tickets are displayed under your gems like so:

There's a clothing shop where you can buy the popular raccoon tail, along with items.

And a shop with some new items, including the nm balloons!  So colourful and lively!

And the returning plushie shop with assorted plushies.

And if you're like me and prefer playing gem games, you can trade your gems in for tickets at a little stand.

Last year, this was only available for the last part of the S.C., but now it's available right away!

Moving on to the 2nd page.

Yes, we heard this last update too.  I seriously wish there was some better explanation.

The water park den is back!

Does anyone still have there's from last year?  Members can now put 200 den items into their dens.  I think it would be more helpful to have extra den item STORAGE space.  But for some reason AJ HQ never consults me. :D 

Stuff about the Jam Session.  Looks like a keyboard will be available soon.  Some pawesome contests entries are available in Jamaa Central.  Drats, I didn't win.  Oh wells.  Congrats, everyone who did!

Also, the diamond birthstone has returned?  I think that happened with a previous stone.  My question is, why?

A new activities calender has been released.

And the comment question relates to the SC

Are you glad that raccoon tails and other "rare" items have been brought back?

Pumpkins

Roar Jammers!  The new item for today is the member pumpkins. (Big surprise there.)  Pumpkins seem more like an Autumn plant.  Oh well, seasons don't follow the same pattern in Jamaa, apparently.

Watermelons

Roar Jammers!  Watermelons are the new garden item for today.  Watermelon, you are so juicy and sweet, but you grow so SLOWLY.  And, no offense, but why are you MEMBER?  (Ok, I kinda meant to be offensive.)  Why am I talking to watermelons?? Fake watermelons, at that??

Uh hum, moving on.  Name tag glitches...

A glitch you've seen thousands of times.  But it never fails to surprise you, does it?

Sorry, that's SO 24 hours ago.  Here's a post about rareish items.  No picture or anything, but none-the-less informative.

Info on epic dens...good point that your den can't be chosen for epic dens if its locked.  If you're gonna lock it, you can't rock it! (Clever, eh?)

Sombrero and Beta Pics

Roar Jammers!  Today's new item is the sombrero found in Bahrai Bargains.  I think this would make a really great LAND item.  Underwater items, and underwater as a whole, just aint that poular! (Please excuse my grammar.) :D

And who's with me in the fact that there should be den item rares?  I think they'd be a big hit. 

Now that we have the boring, old new taken care of, let's get to the fun stuff!  I came across the pictures on a blog The Animal Jam Everything! The author was around during the beta times. (The oceans hadn't even come yet!)  The beta times are SO interesting to me, as I'm sure is the case with most Jammers!  Here are some pretty betatastic pictures!

There's a clear button (to clear all the clothes off your animal), a smaller color pallet, a different trade symbol, and all the items have a different appearance on the screen. O.O

Look how few badges there are!

When fox hats were sold for the first time.  They were so cheap and had no rare sign.

Look at all these beta clearance items!  O.O x100 This is obviously the point where they were going to come off the shelves.
Also, notice the shop name "Coral Corner".
